It first originated in the European continent and for some accident or let's says blessed twist of fate spread across the upper part of the United States of America. This simply indicates that the fruit actually is not from the plants ovaries but the part that houses the ovaries.

We also have wines from this, they ferment the fruit and it comes out as a very nice alcoholic drink. Strawberry is enjoyed in many ways. It is usually eaten as it is just washed it chill and ready to serve. Some like it as a milk shake the blend it and put some milk and ice and then viola instant treat. You can avail it at stores around you and know what I mean. It is very nutritious it contains vitamin b, vitamin c and even calcium. Truly a treat that is also healthy.

Mushrooms: Festivals

Indiana holds one of the largest mushroom festivals and car shows in the surrounding states, the Manfield Village Mushroom Festival and Car Show which is most usually held around the weekends of the last week of April. The mushroom festival is a certified family event and a sure crowd gatherer, especially if you have the weekend off for some mushroom gathering fun.

The event registers early, so it is advised that you get your family wagon (don't forget to bring your family of course) up and running and go to the registration site for the events. You can choose from organized mushroom hunts, buying of mushrooms, and the selling of mushrooms at organized auctions. There are cash prizes for the largest hunted mushroom for the day (as long as it is a mushroom, the judges would not care where you got it...so long as it's not illegal).

Enjoy the mushroom you hunt because you can bring it home and make it into a hearty, and delightful meal. Those who find the largest and most mushrooms from everyone also gets to bring home an intriguing hand carved, wooden mushroom walking stick.

The registration starts at around eight to ten in the morning with an eight dollar entry fee. Mushrooms for selling at the Mushroom Auction are open all day, for bidders and sellers near and far. Auctions are held at the Red Barn.

The Mansfield Car Show happens on the second day of the festival, a Sunday, with registrations from eight in the morning up until noontime. Oldies up till the latest models will come parading, so car lovers are bound to find something to pique their interest. There are also shops and vendors setting up arts, crafts and flea markets for the buyer in you. Tours for the Mansfield Roller Mill are open and there are food booths for the gastronomist as well.

I love shopping at Farmers Markets where the produces are fresh and the fruits and vegetables are in season. Going to farmers markets also gives me a keen sense of consumerism pride as I am able to get the best commodities at relatively lower price.

They are usually open every weekend on the morning, so the goods are guaranteed as fresh and ripe. Customers flock farmers market to meet and greet with their favorite farmers and engage in the shopping experience. Being at the farmers market is like being on an authentic Palenque , consumers are engaged in endless battle of haggling over great looking and tasting items.

Arkansas is one of the many states that hold Farm and Art market. It surely is a picturesque mixture of fruits, vegetables and arts. Arkansas Olympics Part 1

The Olympics is an event held where countries all over the world participate to stand up for their countries pride. But these medals represent pride of the countries who participate; they do their best to train and show the whole world about their skill and talents.

This is the main cause of the Arkansas Senior Olympics it is just one of the groups that has been organize to make events particularly games and form into an Olympics activity specially catered to our elders. They give our elderly an outlet to show that despite their age they still have innate pride and them and this can be showcased in forms of games and sports. They have a lot of games that are shared by its participants; examples are 3 on 3 basketball, archery, bowling, golf, tennis and even weight lifting.

For recreational events they have basketball shooting, daisy air gun, the standing long jump, the one mile mixed relay and many more; all to promote camaraderie between the elderly of the State of Arkansas. Also this is to promote the betterment of the health of our old folks. And to give them time to mingle around and build relationships with each other.

They are governed with a good group of board of directors and executive staffs who help promote the vision and mission of the group. Actual achievements are actually made by the participants of the Arkansas Senior Olympics. They have Frances Barger who achieved the 2006 Glenn Cunningham Track Award for showing outstanding performance in the track events in national and state games. This organization showed a lot of support to our elderly and helps them show that despite their age they still have it.

Gospel music has been around since the early 50's. IIts music has been used to propagate peace and the word of God. This type of music has many roots that influenced it sound. It is written and sung to express and proclaim Christian beliefs.

In its early phase country music and blues has music is the most evident form that can be heard in its notes. Some of the conservative Christian groups still do not want to accept this but basically it proclaims the same message only in different style. It has evolved too many forms basically because the artist are moving forward with time. It already has Rap gospel music and Rock Gospel Music.

They say that you pray twice when you sing praise and worship songs to God. We love to pray it is our life. And for Christians prayer is a way of life. We always want to talk to God. Listening to Gospel music gives its listeners a different high; it is known to lift its listeners to a different state.

I have been playing in our church band and I have enjoyed it in a different levels. For one it joins me with my creator and helps me propagate his words through one of the most effective mediums which are music. I am also currently playing secular music in my other band, but to play Gospel music is my passion and this gives me a different kind of satisfaction. I think it is because I am singing and making music for a higher purpose.

Fort Worth Flea Market at Dallas

How did you spend your Memorial Day Weekend? As for me, my friends and I had this backyard Memorial Day picnic, designing my backyard with furniture pieces and accessories bought from the nearby flea market. We were able to buy these items at considerably low prices when compared to store bought items. The furniture pieces are all still in good condition that just need a little paint touch-up to revive.

At our neighborhood flea market we managed to purchase a few accessories and retouched them ourselves to be able to create great looking and lasting pieces. There are lots of things that can be bought at a flea market, the choices range from furniture pieces to accessories, to clothes, etc.

*We managed to grab a few paper lanterns that are decorated in bright, summery motifs and hanged in in our apple tree. We placed light bulbs inside each lantern that glowed beautifully all through the night.

*We managed to grab three pieces of wicker chairs that my friend who is an excellent Interior Designer painted with floral motifs. The chairs carried the colors of summer that is both tasteful and lovely to look at. They are painted in yellow, orange, lime and bright pink. It was a lot of fun sitting in these newly painted chairs.

*We also managed to grab a quaint looking bevergae holder that must have been a family heirloom. We used it to place our cooling bottles while we chat and have fun during the afternoon.

Our small Memorial Day weekend was truly a huge success, thanks to the special pieces that camefrom the Flea market, we were able to party in posh and grace.

The bands can sing your chosen song for you because of the newest song request offering at the event. The event is also an ideal time for other band members to reunite and meet and greet in one roof.

They are often seen in the previous year's carrying their guitars and musical instruments to sign up for the show. Attendees of the event are mostly high school kids who simply want to have a great time. My friend has some serious talent when it comes to making crafts out of beads and strings. She was always spending her idle time doing so, giving it to her friends, to her classmates, to her teachers, and also, even to me. How she expertly weaves her hands in and out of the threads and bobbles, and then making something simply beautiful still catches me in awe and sweet surrender to her skill. At a later point of our high school year, we became good friends and I suggested that she go try it out for our school fair. Told her that her craft is good, and I'm sure people would pay to have a bit of her work.

That was how she managed to pay off her miscellaneous fees, and how she had done her feasibility studies, all in one. Parents praised her, teachers commended her; she was set off into the beads and baubles industry soon after. And to think she started off with only thinking on how to fund her next day's supply of beads and strings. Truly amazing.

So basically, she was a starter at the school fair that time, competing with the other school clubs managed by a whole class, teacher cookouts and class driven effort; how did she top it all off?

First, research. For one thing, the people who were given the necklaces had responded favorably to it. It was a hobby right? So she had already given quite a number of the trinkets to different persons. The demography was huge. From teachers who were grandmamas, students who were barely out of puberty, mothers of the parents that came by to see where their children got the necklaces from it was a business idea waiting to be discovered.

She had a good customer base already, because she had established relations with the customers even before the said fair.

Sun Fun Festival is an outdoor fest, and it always starts with a colourful parade. Sun Fun Festival is a trademark name owned by Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of commerce. The festival serves as the beginning of summer in South Carolina. Sun Fun Festival is a two day under the sun activities.

Sun Fun is filled with exciting activities such as live entertainment, celebrity meet and greets, sporting events, the Miss Sun Fun Pageant and much, much more. The best part is that the festival admission is free. Everyone is welcome as long as they are ready to have some sun action.

There are many other outdoor exhibits available during the sun fun festival. First, there's the Art in the Park, this is where locals showcases the artist in them. Art in the park displays lots of hand made products. Second is the Corvette Car Show, here viewers are given the chance to see their favourite Corvette models and makes. Another is the Family fest by the sea, here families gather up and experience nonstop family friendly activities. Lastly is the H2x racing demonstration, surfers show their tricks while having fun at the beach. Again the best thing above all this is that it free.

The Sun Fun Festival started 1951 in honour of the tourist season in the seaside community. The Festival is free because it promotes tourism, it encourages tourist to witness the beauty of the seaside district. Sun Fun festival is the longest running festival in Myrtle Beach area.

Creme Brulee Kids Consignment Sale at Kent, Washington

Kids really act way beyond their ages these days. I once saw my friend's 3 year old brother open up the computer and started playing games on it. I was really amazed? You know why? The kid can barely walk! I wonder what these kids are still up to and what else these tiny tots can do.

Every year the organizers of this event, "Just Kids" always see to it that they offer something unique and memorable for the participants and their families to enjoy. This statement made me remember an event that is due at Kent in Washington which overall talks about flashing kids' talents. I'm talking about the Crme Brulee Kids Consignment Sale. Last year the event was entitled, "Mums and Daughters Cook-off". It was a fun event which was participated by over 50 mother and daughter tandem. Luckily, my daughter Alara and I grabbed the second prize for our "Heavensent" cake recipe.

The "Heavensent" Cake is actually a chocolate cake with a custard and chocolate filling. It was wrapped in a delicious chocolate and vanilla icing. We had fun doing this cake most especially when the judges loved it. Other contestants loved the original idea also. For last year we designed our cake with our names and with Alara drawing a mom and a little girl face enclosed in a heart symbol.

The Creme Brulee contest will gather all talented kids all over the State to fire up their own version of unique Creme Brulee. My Alara is one of the contestants again and as early as now, we are researching for the great tasting creme brulee recipes we could possibly find. I get first hand taste of her crme brulee and I must admit that she is very excellent in what she can do.

Being a royal or court painter is one of the highest paying and the most coveted job of all. Being chosen by the royalty to commission their paintings is like being the White House's official photographer now (although that post may not gain the amount of prestige as court painters do before).

Spain gave birth to Classical and Modernist artists of our times. This I believe is due to the rich cultural and historical significance of Spain in the world. Among Spain's celebrated artists is Francisco de Goya, a Renaissance painter famous for his Court Paintings and Dark Artworks (latter years).

Francisco de Goya is a painter known to succumb to boring and sometimes carnival-ish subjects which are the Court and its inhabitants. During the latter years in his career he has been exposed to a controversy which led his immediate expulsion from court. His earliest and most successful years of being a painter is seen as a loyal Court Painter to the Royal Family of Spain. De Goya died a deaf man while still continuing what he started but painting on mostly dark subjects already.

It is officially summer once Father's Day gets here. What gift will you get your father this year? I threw together and brainstormed a number of various ideas to help you decide on something respectful for dad. This Father's Day will be a great one.

A new gas grill - Man invented the gas grill so that he could sit around the backyard with his beer buddies and drink beer. What would NFL football Sundays be like without the gas grill. What would tailgate parties be like without the portable stove. The grill has allowed man to create tons of new meals whose sole intention is to pair well with a good lager.

Browse any shopping mall this time of year and you'll find one of the most common Father's Day presents ever, the World's Greatest Dad apparel. Pickup up a hat or some other piece of clothing with the phrase on it for the old man. He is sure to love it.

Dads love to fish. It gives them a good reason to get away from the women and enjoy some good peaceful silence on the lake. Pick up some of the latest Bass Pro Shops gear to have dad ready for the lake. Fishing gear has been a favorite Father's Day present among fathers for a hundred years.

How is your father's bar looking? You can get him an assortment of his favorite full flavored beer. Does he prefer hard liquor? Pick out a high quality bottle of single malt Scotch or some other whiskey. If he has never tasted it, get him a fifth of Grey Goose or another high quality vodka. That stuff is unbelievably yummy.

Look for some upcoming event that the two of you could attend together. Maybe there is a common band that you both like. If not, maybe there is a play or speech or even a comedian. Your dad will really enjoy just having your company at whatever event you decide on. It really shouldn't matter which event you choose so much as the fact that you are there with him.

Have you shopped at either Home Depot or Lowe's yet? You are bound to find something different for him there if you do enough browsing. There are plenty of various tools to pick from and a ton of ideas for sprucing up the front or backyard.

One practical idea that you could use for your father would be to get him something he could use during his lunch break while at work. Can he use a new mug for his coffee or maybe a new lunchbox?

How about where your dad works? Is there anything you could get him for his office or work place? Those digital photo frames make a nice gift. There are all kinds of little electronic gadgets you could buy.

If he has the space to plant it, a fruit tree or shrub could make for a thoughtful gift. There are plenty of trees to choose from. Make sure you get one that will grow in his climate. Don't get him a orange tree if he lives in the northern United States.

A berry plant also makes a thoughtful present. As guys get older, they tend to begin appreciating these types of things more. There are many different berry plants, bushes and shrubs you have to pick from. Popular ones include the strawberry, red raspberry, blackberry and blueberry.
