Astral Projection Techniques Anyone Can Try

By Carl J Wilkins

Fortunately for those who want to learn how to astral project, there are a number of techniques which can help. Of course, even though one technique may work for someone, that doesn't necessarily mean it will work for everyone, because after all, we are all unique individuals. Interestingly enough, the vast majority of people who experience difficulty with some of the techniques, do so simply because there are unable to relax sufficiently.

It simply cannot be stressed enough that total relaxation is vital if you are to achieve any measure of success with astral projection. The inability to relax seems to be more prevalent between those just starting out, largely because of fear. For the most part, this fear stems from the misconception that one can be harmed, or even die, because of the actual projection. Interestingly enough, the Canterbury institute which is renowned for their occult studies, conducted specific research in order to eliminate these fears.

With 2,000 participants, all of whom participated in astral projection, the Canterbury institute determined that not even one person suffered any harm. Furthermore, all participants were then monitored for a period of three years and during this time none of them came forward with any complaints or reports of problems.

Now that we've nipped the fear issue in the bud, let's take a look at a few of the astral projection techniques, all of which have helped a great number of people in the past. The good news is; all these techniques are also relatively easy. The first technique which we'll discuss is known as the Monroe Technique and it consists of seven main steps:

* Relaxing your mind and body is essential. There are of course numerous relaxation techniques which one can use, but the easiest and the most popular one involves deep breathing and the relaxing of your muscles. This requires you to inhale and exhale deeply and also to tense and release your muscles one at a time starting at your toes.

* Reaching a hypnotic state. Essentially you need to reach a point where your mind and body is just on the verge of going to sleep, although of course you don't want to actually fall asleep. This can be achieved by using the gazing method. Simply lie on your bed and begin staring at something until such time that your eyes close and yet you're still able to see the object.

* When you reach a point where you can still see the object even though your eyes are closed, then you need to deepen your current state of mind even more. This can be done by looking around the room while your eyes remain closed. Amongst other things, you may very well begin to see some light patterns and even a sort of purplish haze inside the room. This is perfectly normal and there is no need for you to pay much attention to it. Instead, once the light is no longer visible you can take that as a sign that you've entered a deeper state. In all probability you will be so relaxed by this stage that you'll hardly be aware of your physical body at all. It should be mentioned that according to the Monroe technique, this is extremely important.

* The next step, which according to Monroe is vital, requires that you enter a state of vibration. According to the vast majority of people who actively pursue astral projection techniques, these vibrations can usually be felt during the early stages of projection. It is widely accepted that these vibrations are felt at the stage when the astral body starts separating from the physical body. While it is important for you to feel the vibrations, one should under no circumstances be alarmed.

* Controlling your state of vibration. In order to control the vibrations one should focus on moving them through your body. Using your mind, you should attempt to spread these vibrations over your entire body so that it feels as though there are waves washing over you. You need to keep practicing this until such time that you can bring on these waves whenever you choose, and once you are able to do that, you're ready to leave your physical body.

* One of the most important factors with regards to astral projection, is having the ability to control your mind so that it's your mind that is in power. Interestingly enough, Monroe suggests that you first practice partial separation in order to strengthen this control. Even though you should continue to focus on the idea of leaving your body, you should only allow a foot or hand of the astral body to go. Ideally, you should attempt to stretch them towards an object which is near you, and when you reach that object you should push your hand or foot straight through it. Once you manage to do this successfully, allow your hand or foot to return to your physical body and then begin to slow down the vibrations in order to end your session.

* In this last step you will get to separate from your physical body. You can simply follow all the steps already mentioned but this time, instead of only allowing your hand or foot to leave the physical body, you will allow total separation. Apart from a minor adjustment, this is virtually identical to step six. In this case you need to imagine that your body is weightless or that it is made up of feathers and that they are being blown around in the wind. As your astral body starts leaving your physical body you should begin to feel as though you are flying or perhaps floating.

Other popular methods include techniques such as the gazing method, the anchor method, and the rope technique. Ideally, one should spend some time experimenting with the different techniques in order to establish which technique suits you the most.

What you do need to bear in mind however, is that not everyone can astral project immediately simply by using one of the techniques mentioned above, because after all, it does take practice.

Thanks to modern sound technology, those wishing to astral project can now make use of a shortcut. There is currently a new technique being used in order to induce a meditative state of mind which is necessary for actual projection. This technique aims to synchronize the two hemispheres of the brain by means of binaural beats. Basically, binaural beats consists of sound waves being played into each ear using different frequencies.

One can also opt for hypnosis recordings which have been designed to assist those interested in astral projection. These aim to reassure ones subconscious mind that it's perfectly acceptable for one to leave ones physical body.

It simply cannot be denied that astral protection is a life changing experience, and this is something which anyone will attest to once they have experienced it. Fortunately, it is something anyone can do, particularly if you use one of the many techniques available.

Expert Answers To Travel Questions Number 1

By Chris Linch

Question 1:

I have been wanting to take a family retreat, but I am on a firm budget, what do you advise we do to get away, but save funds?

Answer 1:

Well there are numerous things you can do. Try booking a hotel that has a kitchen in the room so that you can cook there, save money on dining out. You can also go to less costly destinations. Try a theme park like Six Flags or Branson Missouris Silver Dollar City as opposed to the more pricey Disney World. Travel by car, if possible. Honest, best answer, rough it and go camping. Take a camping road trip, you can stay in many cities for the price of a tent and a plot fee.

Question 2:

I have been thinking about booking a flight for my trip, but the prices keep on falling when is the best time to book?

Answer 2:

Normally the greatest time to book flights is prior to Memorial Day, but the good news in 2009 is that you can in fact still save a lot of funds if you book before the end of July. It appears that on or about August 1, we are going to start seeing increases in airfare as shopper confidence rises as a result raising fuel prices. Simple answer the sooner the better, prices have bottomed.

Question 3:

There are so many travel sites out there saying they have the best deal, but they all seem alike, who is the best to book with?

Answer 3:

The one that offers the low price guarantee. Thats right, it doesnt matter, you can book with any of them if they offer low price promise. Then if you do find a lower rate you can ask them to match it. A word of warning though, watch the fine print. Some only offer this for the first 24 hours. The best I have seen, and the one we offer at our site, will match the rate up until the cancellation deadline. These are the best sites to book with because you can be confident you will get the cheapest rate.

Question 4:

I booked a non refundable reservation, but my plans have changed, how do I cancel it?

Answer 4:

I hate to be the carrier of bad news, but most properties are very stringent on these when it comes to hotels, and airlines have no exceptions. If you are talking about a hotel the best you are going to be able to do is perhaps reschedule. Some hotels will let you move the dates, very few will refund. As for airlines, you are going to be out their change fee, but you get a credit for the amount of the flight minus the change fee for upcoming travel. If you want my advice, change your plans back.

Setting Up Your Table Work

By Ian Kleine

Congratulations! You have taken the first big step in becoming part of your local county's selling force! It is a big challenge, let me tell you beforehand, but the rewards for taking this endeavor is both conducive for your mind and for your soul. There will be frustrations, but there will also be rewards for the experience that you will go through. But you need to plan your actions first.

Firstly, contact your local administrator or the town manager for details on how to obtain permission and licensing. There's a usual hefty sum when trying to rent a table (more expensive if you are renting a booth). So make sure to check the tables first, and see and secure their dimensions.

Enter the table. The tables will be utilized to their maximum so it has got to be worth your money. The average size for a table if you will be selling small items is usually a dimension of six feet in length.

Once you have your table dimensions, its time to think of ways to spruce up that little bit of space and give it an illusion that it is big, vast and holds a treasure trove of goodies waiting for owners to buy them. Be recklessly creative at first and then slowly remove all unnecessary items and refine the design into something both aesthetic and pleasing to the mind. Relish the role of the creator. Which means that although you can create anything you like, limit yourself as well.

Wooden crates are an excellent way to heighten (pun intended) the details on your table. Plastic...well, a bit of a so-so, since structure-wise, they could easily cave into pressure and thus weaken the foundation of what can be assumed is a very good table with a decent design. Height also makes your table look a little less crowded if you're stuffing it in. Try it out and see for yourself.

Javea Once Brought Economic Growth to Spain

By Rob Carlton

Affordable holiday fun in the Costa Blanca Sun and fun in the Mediterranean Sea is synonymous to the Costa Blanca, the Spanish coastal area. The Costa Blanca is considered the property of the Province of Alicante, beginning with the town of Denia and winding up in Pilar de la Horadada or Torrevieja, as the last significant town in the province.

The coastline from here becomes more picturesque than ever and if you are driving, you'll want to keep your camera at hand. It's considered inside the district of Valencia. Examining some of these incredible vacation spots more discreetly, each villa is considered to be someone's favorite, as it has something extraordinary that will tickle your fancy!

For those visitors to Costa Blanca with rental cars highway A7 links Javea throughout Europe with exit ramps at Ondara and Benissa. The latter is located near the milestone mountain peak Montgo. Javea is found on the east Iberian Peninsula about 90 km from Alicante and a little over 100 km from Valencia City. These two cities in Spain each have international metropolitan airports that make your journey very easy.

Javea has an abundant wealthy, natural landscape. It also possesses wonderfully tended coastlines with white seashores, some of these are, Javea, Altea, Guardamar, and Torrevieja. In addition are a number of monuments to a heritage that has afforded Javea all of its interesting societal and time-honored celebrated visitor sites.

Bullfighting in the Streets You may have always thought expensive tickets were the only way to find a great seat within a bullring, yet in the summertime, it is popular in Javea to drive the bulls into the streets. Eighteen-year-old young men make all the plans for this long-established show. They block off streets and created a dead end street that becomes a makeshift round up. The idea behind this spectacle is for the men to demonstrate how brave they are, since they have become of age. Sometimes at night, pieces of cloths soaked in oil are fastened onto the bulls' horns. Then set afire. It all looks prehistoric, does it not? Once again, it seems that the men again are trying to resist these valiant bulls.

The Raisin Market Transcendental in Javea's past was the summertime when the greater part of the locals would go to their country villa homes near the town center and harvest grapes. Gathering grapes is a lengthily and demanding process, as they utilize only part of the muscatel grapes characteristic for producing raisins. The grapes, having been cut, are transported to a series of scolding bins and a boiling water and salt, which cracks the grape skin so that it will dry quicker. Javea once brought economic growth to Spain as an international exporter of raisins. Now, in the market however, countless manufactured goods including raisins flow from Alicante.

Tips for Trade: Art Fairs

By Ian Kleine

There are a plethora of small tips that I've come across and encountered during a lot of my trips across the different tips. Some, I found, actually make a very big difference that could shift the whole paradigm out of focus. Others are hardly noticeable, requires a lot of effort but don't make the cut and are more trouble than what they are worth. But the other tips, they area godsend to keeping your customer attention, reinforcing them and fortifying your reputation.

Sending a personalized note with your thanks is an amazing practice. Honestly. Writing a thank you note makes the whole thing reach a personal level that bevels respect for you and enforces your customer to keep good ties with you. Thank you notes also helps you get familiar with your clients, remembering their names, addresses and things like that. Even just a "Hey, how are you?" would evoke a sense of happiness within them. "Now here's a guy that cares enough to send me something."

Another great tip while inside the art fair: make sure to never leave your post unsupervised. That means to not ever, leave your post. You. Not some other person. It should be you. You can let other persons man your table, but only for security or other reasons. If anything else, you have to be there when meeting the customers. If a prospective client sees your table and asks around, he would be wanting to talk with the proprietor and not just some guard. So make sure to only leave your post when it is absolutely necessary, if it is lunch time, or if you have to do something important

Be a friend, be an agent, be a customer; but don't look like a proprietor in front of the client. Everyone has a pretty bad impression regarding salespersons (you could see the image of a widely-grinning, hat-wearing salesman with an evil glint in the eye, and an avid stare at your wallet). Customers would feel more comfortable if you would go down to at least their level (or away from the manager-high-seat) and act like another perusing customer.

The summary of everything is: make it personal with your clients. Craft businesses aren't as impersonal as supermarkets where you are left to fend off and buy things you want. Remember that each item is the handiwork of a craftsman, so there's a different level involved when buying stuff from them. Remember this and you will not fail in keeping your clients' relationship with you strong.

Nevada Truck Invasion

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

The movie Transformers is one of my favorite. I am not a huge fan of robots, the movie somewhat made me interested. The movie runs with the life of a young boy named Sam; he owns the eyeglass that contains a map the robots are looking for. Sam became the owner of an Autobot (a transformer) named Bumblebee. Sam became the key for the Autobots triumph against the Decepticons . The movie is filled with action and Sci-fi effects that made it a lot more interesting.

Nevada has their own beat and taste of action. Nevada holds a Truck Show, an event where Monster trucks are the lead actors. Truck shows such as Nevada's made people remember the movie transformers. Truck shows are the really thing and it is where the real action is. Here, different trucks are presented. Antique Car show will also be held along side with this annual truck show. The event will be categorized according to different aspects, such as the oldest, the most fashionable and of course the fastest. Cars will be awarded accordingly. Truck enthusiast surely won't miss this kind of event.

Going back to the Transformers movie, Sam and his girlfriend got tangled up on the war of the machines that has somehow gotten over our planet. In the movie, newcomer Megan Fox is seen as a hot and sexy chick that had guys drooling over. The movie actually garnered her several other major roles in upcoming movies as it became the stepping stone to her stardom.

The movie Transformers does not only cater robots fighting, transforming and all that. Friendship and unity for the common good of others is the best aspect the movie has given. It is about sacrifice, giving up something that matters most for the benefit of others. The movie shows a lot of life angles, including love and trust. It also warns the people about the disadvantage and the advantages of technology in human life..

Come with your comrades to the best and most anticipated Truck Show!

Guide To Madrid : Plaza De Mayor Madrid

By David Yardley

The Plaza Mayor draws millions of tourists every year and is one of Madrid's most famous attractions.

It may not be a piece of architectural art, but the Plaza Mayor is a great place to experience the friendly atmosphere of Madrid. Being popular with tourists and Spanish citizens alike, it is an excellent place to get to know other citizens of Madrid and interact with them.

The Plaza Mayor was established hundreds of years ago, but a fire in 1790 contributed to its current shape. In a literal sense, it has functioned as an area for the public by having bullfights, festivals, political clashes and even be-headings. To make a trip to the Plaza even more rewarding, it is helpful to do some reading about it's history - either while you are there or before your travels.

The Plaza measures at approximately 100m on every end (which is not considered to be very huge by some), but is able to contain almost 50,000 spectators at one time. And it is often very crowded, especially during the summer time. To have a genuine Spanish adventure, the various festivals they have through out the years are a great chance to experience the culture.

It would be the best spot to buy a meal or just relax, as there are many bars, restaurants and cafes around. Not to mention all of the traditional Spanish foods which can be found at a reasonable price. Many different shops are in the area to visit, so be sure to pick up some souvenirs.

Around the square, there are structures that provide useful vantage points that allow people to watch the events happening in the streets below. This way you will have much more space to yourself and a break from the large crowds of various people below, it is definitely worth it get such a spectacular view of the events from above.
